I'm not a brooding(probably a good idea to spell that right, next time) non-conformist. I just have very particular taste when it comes to story and game play. Very particular taste. As in, if the plot isn't new or profound, I don't play it. Let that sink in.
You're... really going on a weird tangent though. Suddenly you're...talking about Suikoden III and how it's better than the second one? Oh, whatever works.
Play a real RPG series. The thing that pisses me off most about people who hail Final Fantasy games as the king is that they seem to think that it's the 'final fantasy' and the last bastion of RPGs. My goodness. Some of the Shin Megami Tensei games will literally mindrape you. Plus they're fun to play. So it's a bonus.
